Policies & Closures
-
We will be closed during the following dates. If you have a 1-on-1 personal training session during this time, you will not be charged and you can either reschedule the session or pick up during your next scheduled session.
If your Small Group Personal Training session occurs during one of the listed closures, you will be issued a session to use as a makeup (or two if you are a 2x/week member and there is a multiple-day closure) to use either before the closure or during the following consecutive month. Sessions to not exend beyond that time. During longer holiday breaks, we will add additional class make-up session options which will be posted on the schedule. Make-ups are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

SMALL-GROUP TRAINING POLICIES
Small-group training is provided by Shevener Strength LLC, doing business as Solid Gold Strength Club, at 10281 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito, California, or another location identified in the booking details.
Group Size and Participation
Small-group personal training is limited to four participants per session.
Before joining, participants must complete the required intake information and liability waiver. Depending on experience and individual needs, onboarding may include a workshop, one or more private sessions, or an introductory period with a new group.
Your coach may recommend a different training option when it would better support safe and appropriate participation.
Your Membership and Weekly Spot
Your membership reserves the weekly class time or times identified at enrollment.
A once-weekly membership includes four sessions per 28-day billing period. A twice-weekly membership includes eight sessions per 28-day billing period.
Your standing reservation continues while your membership remains active, subject to any agreed schedule changes.
Billing Every 28 Days
Memberships renew automatically every 28 days until canceled. This is every four weeks, rather than once per calendar month, and generally results in 13 payments across 52 weeks.
Canceling Membership Renewal
You may cancel future renewal 15 days before your next scheduled charge through the online cancellation option provided with your membership or by emailing info@solidgoldstrengthclub.com.
Canceling renewal ends future billing and releases your standing spot at the end of your current paid period. You may continue using your remaining sessions until that period ends.
Canceling a class reservation does not cancel your membership. Canceling membership renewal does not automatically cancel an upcoming class reservation during your paid period.
Nothing in this policy limits any cancellation or refund rights provided by law.
Class Cancellations and Makeups
Please cancel a class reservation at least 24 hours before the session begins.
- With at least 24 hours’ notice, the credit may be used for a makeup during the same 28-day billing period or the following consecutive month.
- With less than 24 hours’ notice, the session counts as used.
- Missed sessions without notice count as used.
Makeups must be booked into an available, appropriate class and completed before the billing period ends or the following consecutive month. They are subject to availability and are not guaranteed at a particular time.
Canceling one occurrence of your regular class does not change your future standing reservations.
Unused Credits
Credits are intended for use within the 28-day period in which they are issued. Unused credits do not automatically roll over or reduce the next payment.
If an exception is approved in writing, no more than one unused session may roll into the immediately following billing period. That session expires at the end of the following period and cannot roll over again.
Membership credits may not be shared with another person.
Travel, Illness, and Membership Pauses
Contact us before an upcoming renewal if you need an extended break. Any approved pause will specify its dates, billing treatment, and whether your weekly spot can be held.
A pause is not automatic, and a standing spot cannot always be reserved during a break. You may instead cancel renewal and rejoin later, subject to availability.
This provision does not limit any rights provided by applicable law.
Drop-Ins and Client Discounts
Drop-ins require an available space and any required onboarding.
Special pricing for eligible personal training clients or other approved groups applies only while the stated eligibility requirements are met.
Discounts do not combine unless expressly stated. A discounted group booking does not use a personal training session credit unless you have agreed to a specific conversion.
Late Arrivals and Safe Participation
Please arrive ready to begin on time. Late arrival does not extend the session.
Your coach may modify your participation or ask you to attend another session if you miss necessary preparation or cannot safely join the session in progress. The normal cancellation policy applies.
Inform your coach of relevant pain, injuries, medical restrictions, or changes affecting participation. You may request a modification or stop an exercise at any time.
Coach Cancellations, Holidays, and Schedule Changes
If we cancel a session included in your membership, it will not count as used. We will offer a replacement session, or an extended credit.
Planned closures affecting your membership will be communicated in advance. A coach cancellation or closure will not cause you to lose a paid session without an appropriate remedy.
We may occasionally provide a substitute coach. Material changes to your standing schedule will be discussed with you.
Community Expectations
Treat coaches and participants respectfully, follow safety instructions, and use equipment as directed.
Harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, or unsafe conduct may result in removal from a session or termination of membership. Any unused prepaid services will be addressed according to the circumstances and applicable law.

PERSONAL TRAINING POLICIES
Personal training is provided by Shevener Strength LLC, doing business as Solid Gold Strength Club, with Haley Shevener, Gabriel Shevener, or another authorized coach. These policies apply to sessions at 10281 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito, California, online, and at other agreed locations.
Payment and Packages
Payment is due before the session or package begins. Your purchase confirmation identifies your rate, session length, and number of sessions.
Packages expire as follows, measured from the purchase date:
- 5-session package: 2 months.
- 10-session package: 4 months.
- 20-session package: 8 months.
Please purchase a package that fits your expected attendance. Contact us before expiration if illness, injury, or another significant circumstance affects your ability to attend. Any approved extension will be confirmed in writing.
Scheduling and Recurring Appointments
Appointments require advance booking and confirmation. A recurring appointment reserves a regular weekly time while you maintain an active package and meet the attendance requirements below.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- With at least 24 hours’ notice, your session credit remains available until its original expiration date.
- With less than 24 hours’ notice, the session counts as used.
- Missed appointments without notice count as used.
Cancel through the booking system or contact us at info@solidgoldstrengthclub.com. A request to reschedule does not reserve a new appointment until that appointment is confirmed.
Keeping Your Weekly Time
Consistent attendance helps us maintain a workable schedule for everyone.
If you cancel more than 50% of your recurring appointments in a calendar month without a prior arrangement, we may release your standing time. You may continue booking available appointments individually.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive ready to begin at your scheduled time. Late arrivals generally finish at the original end time and are charged as a full session.
If you are substantially late, your coach may shorten or decline the session if there is insufficient time to train safely.
Unused Sessions and Other Training Options
Unused sessions remain subject to the package expiration date.
Before expiration, you may request to convert unused package value into small-group training credit or individual personal training booking credit. Any conversion requires written confirmation of the value, applicable rates, and expiration date. Conversion does not automatically extend the original expiration date.
Packages are assigned to the purchasing client. Transfers to another person require prior written approval.
Coach Cancellations and Studio Closures
If we cancel your appointment, the session will not count as used. We will offer rescheduling and, when necessary, an appropriate extension so you have a reasonable opportunity to use the credit.
Health and Participation
Complete the required intake information and liability waiver before training. Tell your coach about relevant injuries, pain, medical restrictions, or changes that may affect your participation.
You may request a modification or stop an exercise at any time. Please do not attend in person when you may expose others to a contagious illness; contact us promptly to discuss your appointment.
Refunds and Policy Changes
Except where required by law or expressly stated in these policies, purchased sessions and packages are not refundable for a change of plans or unused attendance.
Nothing in these policies limits any cancellation, refund, or other rights provided by applicable law.
Changes affecting a future purchase will be disclosed before purchase. We will not retroactively reduce the value of an existing package through a policy change.

EVENT AND WORKSHOP POLICIES
Events and workshops are offered by Shevener Strength LLC, doing business as Solid Gold Strength Club. These policies apply to in-person, outdoor, off-site, and online events unless different event-specific terms are clearly disclosed before purchase.
Registration and Payment
Advance registration and payment are required unless the event listing states otherwise. Your place is confirmed after registration is completed and any required payment is received.
The event listing identifies the date, time, location or online format, price, and participation requirements.
An event registration does not include ongoing personal training or group membership unless expressly stated.
Participant Cancellations
Unless different cancellation terms are disclosed before purchase:
- At least 24 hours before the event: you may cancel and receive a credit equal to the amount paid, valid for 90 days toward another eligible Solid Gold event or workshop.
- Less than 24 hours before the event: the registration is not refundable and no credit is issued.
- Nonattendance without notice: the registration is not refundable and no credit is issued.
Cancel through the booking system or email info@solidgoldstrengthclub.com.
Credits cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law. If we cannot provide a reasonable opportunity to use an issued credit during its validity period, contact us before it expires to arrange an extension or refund.
Registration Transfers
You may request to transfer your registration to another eligible participant before the event begins.
Transfers require our approval, completion of any necessary forms, and confirmation that the replacement participant meets the event requirements. Do not transfer or resell a registration without approval.
Event-Specific Terms
Some events involve outside instructors, reserved venues, materials, or other advance costs. These events may have different cancellation deadlines or refund terms.
Any different terms will be clearly disclosed before purchase and will govern that event. Terms will not be made more restrictive after your purchase without your agreement.
Events Canceled or Rescheduled by Solid Gold
If we cancel an event, you may choose a refund of your registration payment or a credit toward another event.
If we materially change the event’s date, location, or format and you cannot attend or do not accept the change, you may request a refund.
For weather-related or other safety concerns, we may postpone, relocate, modify, or cancel an event. If the change is material, the same refund option applies.
Arrival and Participation
Please arrive on time and allow enough time for check-in. Late arrival does not extend the event.
For safety or to avoid disruption, entry may be delayed or declined if you miss essential instruction. The participant cancellation policy applies unless otherwise required by law.
Wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring any items identified in the event listing.
Health Information and Waivers
Events involving physical activity require completion of the applicable liability waiver and any requested intake information before participation.
Tell the instructor about relevant injuries, pain, medical restrictions, or other circumstances affecting safe participation. You may decline an activity, request a modification, or stop at any time.
Age limits and any requirements for minors will be stated in the event listing. Minors may participate only with authorization and appropriate parent or guardian documentation.
Online Events
For online events, you are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, and any required equipment.
Access links are for registered participants and may not be shared without permission. Do not record or distribute event content without permission.
If a technical problem on our side prevents delivery of a substantial part of the event, we will offer an appropriate replacement, credit, or refund.
Photography and Recordings
Participation does not by itself grant permission to use your identifiable image or voice for marketing.
We will seek separate permission for promotional use. Any planned recording of an online event will be disclosed before recording begins, along with available participation alternatives.
Please obtain permission before photographing or recording other participants.
Conduct and Safety
Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions and treat instructors, staff, and other attendees respectfully.
Harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, or unsafe conduct may result in removal. Any refund will be determined according to the circumstances and applicable law.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in these policies limits any cancellation, refund, or other rights provided by applicable law.
